Neurodivergence
or as I like to call it… “NeuroSpicy”
Neurodivergence, or neurospicy, is used to describe differences in how people’s brains work. It’s commonly identified as those diagnosed with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, etc. Essentially, it means that some people's brains function in ways that are different from what society considers “typical”.
In the work that I do, I’ve noticed a significant overlap between neurospicy & queer folks, which has led to my learning and ability to support neurospicy folks - queer or not.
While many find acceptance in queer communities, challenges such as navigating social dynamics and accessing support remain. Understanding these intersections is vital for fostering inclusivity and support for everyone.
(please note I highly dislike the language between ‘neurodivergent’ and neurotypical’).
